How do you expect a 4 wheeler to comply with a "Move over" law when a "Paid Driver" wont? I watched this over and over and i dont even see an attempt to slow down. The Troopers cruiser was on the shoulder, not the road WTF J.B. ?

If that happens to me, I move over as far to the left in my lane as I can, sorry if I'm crowding someone, but I'm going to give whoever on the shoulder as much room as I can.DE36535 Thanks this.

Probably too busy with that cell phone stuck in their ear. I can't figure it out, we've had this law over 1 1/2 years and I see as many now driving with a cell phone in their ear as I did before the law was enacted......
-
I'd say the driver was texting, didn't even see the car till he hit it.
-
Whether its the law or not, it's best to move over for another vehicle sitting on the side of the road. I had an argument once with some dimwit who though that police units didn't qualify as emergency vehicle just because they didn't say "emergency" on it. People like that make me wish I had a crowbar in hand so I could perform a brain adjustment on them.

Happens to me allllll the time. Yesterday I put my blinker on to move over for 2 cops on the shoulder. Fed Ex driver decided to floor it and I couldn't get over. Then I hear him on the CB say "I'm sorry MCT. I didn't want to slow down to let you over and I thought I could get by you before you passed them". I responded with the same response I tell all the rest of them that do that exact same thing "Yea your sorry alright. A sorry pos". I see more truckers doing this than I do 4wheelers. I just stay as far left as I can in those cases.truckon and drvrtech77 Thank this.

Speaking of not moving over and distracted driving... this happened earlier this week near Black River Falls, WI when a Werner semi hit a disabled TGL Logistics semi that was on the shoulder.

Jackson County (WQOW) - A semi driver has been ticketed because of a crash Tuesday night.
Investigators say he wasn't paying attention. The semi he was driving rear-ended another semi on I-94.
The crash happened near Black River Falls around 5 p.m. No one was seriously hurt. The state patrol says one semi was parked on the shoulder because the engine failed.
It was struck from behind by another semi, which then went into the median and caught fire. The driver was able to escape with minor injuries. The state patrol says he was reaching for something that fell out of an overhead compartment and to the floor by his feet when the crash happened.
He was given a ticket for inattentive driving which carries a fine of $188. Traffic was re-routed for about three hours because of the crash.

Well, whatever it was that fell out of his overhead, I doubt he'll be able to find it now. $188 ticket and how many thousands in damage to the truck, trailer, load, road, median, etc.
