Well here is the latest and of course california is involved. The new Calnev POE is set to be built on I-15 inprimm nevada. It will also have C.A.R.B COPS . This will eliminate the small check stations on I-15 And will be another super coop. The bids for contractors was just put in the paper yesterday to build this new coop/c.a.r.b/poe. So be warned fellow drivers it won't take long for them to put it up as nevada already has started their share. I'm just shocked they didn't put it up on a grade lol. Seems supercoops are the new thing.
New Port of Entry Surprise. ....

Because Nevada is on the flat side of that hill.
****EDIT POINT****
We will wait to see if it is a supercoop.
#1 Will it snapshot scale dodgers?(probably) Nevada makes alot of its money on gamblers.
#2INTER not INTRA state commerce is a good money net for any state.(SPEED TRAPS!)
#3 California Highway patrol normally mans the bottom of the King of the I-15 hill. Any driver daring enough to call himself a professional knows don't F3CPO with a badge/gun/ most importantly CHP
#4 Prepass or equivalent option. basically WIM or static scale. By that in what state as well. If Primm side they can't call us out on CA 40" Unless it's a joint CA/NV Scale house.
Keep your head's in the game driver's.
Shiny side up,rubber between the lines and not heavy enough to pop them tire's keeps us rolling as long as all the pretty lights work.Last edited: Jul 26, 2013

Also don't expect Sunday to be a slow day for I-15 because everyone needs to get back to L.a. from Vegas.

got a link to that bid????
i'm surprised they don't have one on the 40.
wonder if them carb cops will be living in vegas. cuz that seems like a long way to drive to work from cali. -
Just another one of the 15million 465thousand 993 reasons--NOT to go to Cali

Here is a link about the new POE at Mountain Pass that has been approved. Since my tractor won't be CARB complaint at the end of this year I will just have to figure out something else to get home.snowwy Thanks this. -
Dewey has it right. They decided to put it at primm with a joint venture with nevada. It will be a super coop not a small weigh in motion. According to nhp it will have prepass but I'm sure the carb cops will know which trucks are legal and which ones are not. But from what I understand trucks can get permits to travel in cali but I'm not sure the length of time they can stay. We had nhp at our yard today and he was explaining the new hos rules to some drivers and the coop came up and he said it was going to be on the same scale as utah/arizona on 15 north and southbound.

On another note just what I-15 needs is more backup out of vegas. Replacing yermo and putting it at the border will just cluster up 15 back into vegas like that doesn't happen now imagine when that poe gets full on a holiday. Gonna be fugly for sure.
