    I worked for a well know company as a team driver and after 9 months I quit without notice due to the fact that I had scheduled hometime and they were not going to get me home so I could attend my sons wedding. This was even though I notified the driver manager that I needed home then. I was out 5 weeks on a team and left and flew home to be at my sons wedding. I left my fellow team driver with the truck (he and I are friends) and he promptly turned the truck in and he also quit. So this company will probably not hire me back.

    I am in need of a trucking job and been out of work for 6 months, doing odd jobs around here.

    OK First off, I am not a druggie and anyone that does drugs should not drive a truck. I was going to go with Schnieder, but I found out they hair test. Like I said I don't do drugs, but about a month ago I hurt my ankle and took my wife's hydrocodone for a week until my ankle got better. I only took a couple of pills a day for 8 days in a row. My wife has a prescription for these, becasue she is handicapped due to an accident and she is in pain all the time.

    I did that because I needed to work. I was doing landscape work and had to stand up all day.

    With that being said, I have never smoked pot or did any other drugs and do not beleive anyone in trucking should either.

    My delima is that I probably will fail a hair test due to this one week about one month ago, but I know that I will pass any urine test. Heck I don't even drink alcohol.

    Do you have any suggestions for trucking companies that only do urine testing? I really need a job....

    Jim, I am sorry to hear about all your problems. It seems like you are a nice guy and you came to the right place for advice.

    I think Swift, Werner and Stevens all pee test.

    I am pretty sure Schneider, JB HUNT, CR England all do both the pee test and hair test.

    I am pretty sure Schneider, JB HUNT, CR England all do both the pee test and hair test.

    Most companies are doing both and what one company is doing today could be different tomorrow it would be better to just sit out until your clean rather then be told Company A only does a UA and you show up and they now do both UA and HT
