So, I got accepted to Prime a week ago. They sent me my orientation email and gave me the bus schedule and a confirmation number for my ticket. I was scheduled to depart @ 814 PM from Providence, RI. We arrived at the bus station one hour before the departure time as instructed. Low and behold, the station was closed. Did you know it is about impossible to reach a live person @ GreyHound after 7 PM EST?? So, there I was with my 5 yr old boy, wife, and disabled mother; sitting at the bus station in downtown Providence until 10 PM. And guess what? No bus ever showed up! I spoke with every Peter Pan bus driver that came through there trying to get information on where the bus might be......and the most I got was, "keep waiting". By the time 10 hit, the streets were about empty with only the "don't look in the eye" crowd around. With my mother about to soil herself and my son crying, we called it a night and walked the two blocks back to our van.
Of course, I didn't stop trying to find a solution!! I checked airlines, trains, and rental cars......only to find that I can't get there for less than $300 bucks!!! Very frustrating.
I know this is a long shot, but is there anybody in the New England area willing to give this boy a ride to SpringMo?? Am willing to pay $150 or 20,000 SPG points, what ever you prefer.....(Mods: if this is against the rules, please feel free to delete).
On a side note, I am a clean 31 year old smoker (am willing to quit for two days if needed).
Anyway, thanks for reading about my frustrating evening! Wish me luck in getting to MO by Tuesday!!

I know it may sound much but your best bet is too rent a car you can find an economy car KIA rio or such on kayak....hotwire etc for 41 a day and either pull an all nighter and do it all in one shot or rent it for two days which would come out to around 110 w tax gas would cost you 120 but usually if you drive said company will reimburse your fuel cost or part either way you could make it on 150.00
The Challenger Thanks this. -
