I bought two of these off Amazon, for security purposes after getting mirrors knocked back twice in the same week. I realized I would have like to have recorded it. This cam is not the best at night but none are for under $50? It would have shown I was sitting and record contact noise, that I'm not at fault I think, I hope.

Has an Li ION battery for the motion detector feature. It's Chinese, doesn't even come with a bar code on the box, won't find this at Pilot or TA.

It requires a class 10 SD card (or you can use a microSD with adaptor), can take up to 32 GB.

This is a good idea. I've been thinking about getting one of these myself. I assume you're recommending this because you're happy with it. The price is a steal!

Yes, I recommend. I'm pleased with the ease of use, ease of setup, and the quality of the video. It's a basic cam, can't stress that enough. And the view screen can be folded up while recording, in fact I can't think of any reason to leave it down other than to adjust the contrast.

I did have a problem with one of the mounts warping when I left it for 3 days in the July heat but I replaced it for $5... Amazon.

Some reviews stink too. I mean, paying $20 and writing a whining review over every detail is pure drama. At least be objective, just state the facts and not make it seem like they got jipped. "You get what you pay for" is true but this device is not bad at all if you need something basic.

One review railed about the gaps well that's their class 6 SD card not the cam. I have mine set at 30 FPS, 60 hz, 800x480 (wvga) using a class 10 and get no gaps, video is as smooth as butter.
