How about a poll for the good companies

that would be a big list, consider; that some of us are O/O , some are including me work for a private company, the poll would be long...

 

Yellow,Roadway, UPS, Southeastern.Etc..The ones that no one ever leaves, and the companys that dont have a 2 sided fence between dispatch and safety..That way the driver never get pressured or screwed up for doing the right thing..His job, legally.

 

Way too many companies out there to do that. The best companies out there are the ones you never hear about. They are word of mouth from friend to friend and workers rarely ever leave.

Usually private companies with their own freight to haul. Examples would be Frito Lay and Nascar Truck drivers. Even tour our bus drivers specializing in acts such as country singers and rock stars.

The union outfits pay very well in comparison to their non union counterparts but there may be exceptions to that as well.

The key is to talk to other drivers and pick their brain every chance you get. Especially if you see a truck or company that interests you.
