FM says local drivers going away... hiring freeze on office...

the way communications goes around here im surprised they told you anything lol, but I haven't heard anything, especially today since its sunday. i dont think local drivers are going away everywhere, because I got called by the FM in charge of denver and he is calling people because he has a spot open and they are looking for a local, so not sure where your FM is talking about. things just seem to be changing so fast around here, the past 2 months have been like night and day from when i first started... hope things don't keep changing for you guys, good luck!

Our FM is good about keeping us up to date on whats new at IDC, havent heard anything about loosing local drivers or a hiring freeze.

and yeah, i dont know about company wide.... like i said, 3 days ago i got a call for a local position in Denver... but for 17 an hour yeah... lol

 

I called my recruiter and asked him about this. Sounds like they are converting local drivers to committed runs. He also mentioned they have 17 open staff positions through out the company, so not sure where the "freeze" is......

 

Well, they phased out local drivers at Knight, where did your CEO cut his management teeth? Oh yeah that was Knight.
