Ironically I just bought two blackberries off of ebay. The first one is a 7290, and isn't working with my T-mobile service. The second one is a Pearl, and I haven't gotten it yet, so I am phoneless. :biggrin_2553:Someone stole my old flip phone.
Any Blackberry you should be able to do that with, or a Blackjack. Who's your service provider? It depends on your service provider which phone is compataible with your sim. If you have analog, you're going to be forced to switch over to a Sim card.
T-mobile makes some PDA phones similiar to those, I am not sure about the other companies, and not trying to endorse them or anything, just throwing out what little bit of knowledge I know about that type of phone.:biggrin_25525:
I hope I can get rid of that 7290 now that I no longer need it.......[/quote]

My Cell Provider is Sprint. If you don't ned the 7290 how old is it and in what condition is it in? Also what would I have to look for when I'm looking into buying a phone from e-bay or a place like amazon.com? I have purchased many things from both over the years but never a cell phone. any help would be great.

I don't know if we can discuss as far as selling it on here, but you can PM me.
I don't know much about Amazon, but on ebay it's pretty easy to narrow down your search. You can either search for a phone that's an actual sprint phone, or you can find an "Unlocked," Phone. An unlocked phone will work with any service provider.:biggrin_25525:

    Not true.
There are TWO cell phone technologies in the US. CDMA and GSM. A phone manufactured for the GSM technology won't work on a CDMA network and visa versa.
