Truck Update:
I have been doing 50 mph (1100 rpm's) and the truck is getting great fuel mileage. I finally got back to the east coast. I'm 77040 lbs coming out of California. Those mountains are hard on fuel mileage but I was in the mid 8's. Coming across Iowa I ended the day with 9.1 mpg but wanted to check today to see if it would continue. I'm ending the day here with 9.8 mpg. This thing is crazy. I will probably be ordering a mid roof lightweight in a couple of months because the only thing I don't like about this truck is that it's not a mid roof.

What do you have now a condo? I know I read it in here but I am forgetful. Congrats on the great fuel mileage. That is just extra money in the pocket.

It has that wind breaker for when you're pulling a box. It's a mid roof already. I just want one without that on the top and a new APU. Probably yellow with some bananas on the side or something. Maybe grey with some wolf design.

They can take that top off in Springfield. All the lightweight trucks in decatur had them originally and all but a few drivers had them removed. They'll remove it from Pete's and cascadias, they just leave the brackets on top. Supposedly , according to maintenance shop, the roof will leak if you remove the brackets. I don't think they'll order a lightweight without the spoiler thing on the roof.
GunMetal345 Thanks this. -
Thanks. I'll ask them to take it off next time I'm in SpringMo.

Friday update early:
I have been credited $1600 for the items put on the truck. With that credit my first trip covered both weeks. My cash flow is positive even though it is a small amount.
My fixed cost per week from what I could figure out this settlement are $1179.74. My truck payment is $845 per week the rest is insurance and administrative costs. I will give you a more detailed break down next week.

That's around what we see on the reefer side. If tanker loads follow what happens in reefer freight, you're in the second low-ebb of freight revenue for the year. It's always awful in July on our side. Keep the lid on expenses until things pick up later on in the third quarter.GunMetal345 and Jrdude5 Thank this.

It's supposed to be the high time for tanker from like April to Christmas. The pay is good for these loads out to Cali and back but it's not the best I've seen in tanker. I'm hoping to get into New Jersey and grab some of that good good, lol.

Hi guys,
I took a few days off. Just came back to the truck yesterday. This week will be a short check but the expenses should be normal. I got my first five star load. It was $2.83 a mile for 474 true miles. I was late last week but I told them I would be late when I took it. They said do what I can.
Alright, I'll be back on Friday. Laters. -
Then you weren't late in Prime's book and certainly won't reflect it on your service awards record.GunMetal345 Thanks this.
