Jb thank you so much for keeping your thread in line. I am getting on the dog Sunday for Springfield... I have done months of research and your thread has covered every single question I had and then some. I have taken all opinions into consideration and decided to move to this new and challenging lifestyle. No kids, no wife and I paid all my bills 2 months in advance. I resigned from a decent paying job as a full time EMT and here I come Prime! I don't know how to send PM yet would you be interested in sending me your email so I can shoot you a question now and then? Or feel free to email me medic144353@gmail.com

Not that funny considering he was talking about team miles.

Your lack of understanding... Now that's funny

Correct, and I may have been mistaken. It may be over 5000 miles. I do not recall off hand.

You can message me if you like, though I think it's more appropriate to ask questions here or on the Prime forum, where everybody can see it and any answer, unless it's something personal, in which case I have no idea why you'd be asking a complete stranger to begin with. :)

First off, please at least show the courtesy to speak English when getting all haughty with us.

To address a few points you bring up, yes, PSD classes start large, but I never see every person graduate to employment. For various reasons, not everybody lasts in the PSD or even the TNT phases.

I don't know about federal grants for giving people jobs, though I have heard that rumor about every single carrier that has a truck or two on their lot. The only instance of this I know if that might hold water, is if a vet used the GI bill and apprenticeship programs through the VA in order to make ends meet during training- and I only know of Werner for sure who exercises the corporate benefits of acting as a journeyman/master relationship with hirees. Being that it is a company out to make money, can you really fault them for looking into every avenue of income?

Prime has quite a lot of trucks. We're expanding right now. We also have a lot if unoccupied trucks leaving the fleet, which are also on the yard, meant for resale.

The safety features are an annoyance to me, but I fail to see how a company trying to limit liability and increase safety is a bad thing. You yourself may be an excellent driver who never makes mistakes, but I promise you that you are the only one. Even the most prudent person can suffer from human error from time to time.

The trucks are set to save the company money. Why is that a thing to look down on? Rob Low and his cadre are doing a fine job of maximizing profits, without completely making the life of their employees and lessors hell.

Complain about elogs all you like, but they are becoming mandated in the immediate future. Like them or not, that's just how it is.

Trucking at large is a regulated industry, just as are medicine, law, food production, and just about every single other industry that has an effect on other people's lives in one way or another. You can either choose to operate within the limits of the profession, or become a bitter complainer.

I see that you have chosen the latter.
