Thats so true. I used to have a reef tank. Watching a cleaner shrimp eat clownfish poop put shrimp off the menu forever.

As far as I know, the reason they claim the plastic breaks down is the sunlight/uv exposure not the actual heat itself. Similar to how UV gives you sunburn even when it's cold if your skin is exposed.

I remember a friend hauling water to a soda pop plant in a tanker. Was not important to me so I never asked to much. This was early 80's.

That warning was probably put out by some company trying to sell stainless steel water bottles or something like that.

You must believe all those warning labels. They are all for your best interest, and our government is watching out for you. They are always correct so follow them closely, and without thought. And most importantly be sure to adhere to those expiration dates on all products. Especially water, we know they are always right, so water is bad for you after the expiration date cause they say so and they are never wrong.

I don't worry about heat but I do worry about plastic bottles out in the sun. When I was living in the desert I always had three cases of water in the bed of my pickup. I'd have to replace they every 1-2 months because the sun would break them down. A good test is if you squeeze the bottle and the sealed cap pops off it's no good. You can taste it when they get that bad. Usually gives you the runs if you drink it. Learned that from personal experience getting stuck in some sand one day.

When I heard this warning I was laughing so hard because I was in transit with a load of bottled water and told my w8fe about the warning and then told her who do these people think the water got to the store. Shippers arent going to pay for a reefer to run for water
