Are you completely nuts?? You seriously think he did the right thing by avoiding a potentially minor sideswipe and put himself and his sons life in severe danger?? I hope I never have to drive on the same highway as you. Are you willing to die for a stupid stranger??

 

Well you see that's the problem. As truck drivers our lives have no meaning. If this driver were to have side swiped a car, he would've been fined, the car would've claimed injury thus resulting in the truck driver losing his job and a higher insurance claim quite possibly a lawsuit and civil suit and the list goes on and on. That's the way society views us as truck drivers. We have no worth in this world we are below poverty in most peoples eyes. They don't care about us.

 

Good thing nobody was hurt. On the plus side he has a helluva story to tell.

 

Sorry but I've been in that situation I didn't swerve im not turning a truck over cause of someones stupidity especially if I have my son with me!

 

well i am guessing he didnt anticipate going airborne....i was discussing this with another member earlier...he musta been going pretty fast the way he flew up and over....

 

he probably just swerved from instinct, like any of us super truckers would do if we were not sitting in front of a computer screen. ..

NO WAY! Why would you risk killing yourself and your kid by jerking the wheel like that? So we should give up are lifes every time a car does something dumb I don't think so! If that was me I'd hit the brakes hard and keep my lane let it go from there.

 

This is true but I'd take all this over the ride that driver went on.
