Sounds like you should sell your Pete and buy a International flat floor.

    Joetro Thanks this.

I understand the desire to customize the Pete. I'd take a 362 over a 'Binder any day (and I own a 'Binder), but it just doesn't seem anywhere near the realm of feasible.

Im just trying to be original. But like I mentioned earlier there is a lot of room between the engine and dog house I might not have a 100% flat floor but it looks like I could take most the doghouse out. I would just swap for the international if they had a 110 big cab. Selling my pete not a option I want to fix it up as a working class show truck plus I already have 14 rebuilding the whole drive train engine trand rear ends ac airbags 5th wheel front axle air bag new air dryer so at this point its solid just looking to custom the inside and do something with this pete that hasnt been done. I dont think its impossible they made a 4 door pete so you can put a flat floor in.

Couldn't you just cut the doghouse down, then, if there's that much room? Grafting the floor of a 'Binder into that 362 is going to be an undertaking of massive proportions. Definitely keep the Pete, though. IMHO, the 362 is one of the best looking nosebleed trucks out there.
Adding doors is easier than adding floors.

I actually just purchased a cab from a 362 gonna do a mock up this weekend I think I will just take the extra out the dog house. And figure out the structure support. The big issue is also dash but ill get to that in time.

also, something to consider on the international 9600-9800 flat floors, they usually had m-11 cummins in them. that engine is a lot shorter height wise compared to a b/c cummins or 3406 cat.

also, as afore mentioned, the engine actually mounts lower in the frame to accommodate the flat floor. if you ever get a good look at a flat floor international.....look at the driveline goin from the tranny to the rearends. it actually slopes upward towards the rearends because the engine sets so low in the frame rails.

good luck on your project though.

I just seen how much lower the engine sits. Im just going to focus on removing the extra space in the dog house. I can probaby take 6 to 12 inches out at least I can get some room. Im just looking for a good project to do with my kids get some quality family time and make a cool truck in the process. Most the work Im doing myself so cost is literally nothing. We just brought the cab into the garbage this weekend and gutted it wifes mad we took her parking but oh well lol. So far we have all interior out besides dashboard.
