This isn't a ISX thread. Well, at least it didn't used to be.

Then the following week the used truck dealer got hit by a tornado. The entire town of Henryville, IN got hit.

Well, if truck is sold another ISX comment shouldn't hurt, eh?
The TA shops know their Detroits because they see so many of them. Detroits like shops. And leaks.
Pull up with an ISX and they don't know what to do and they admit that. (My experience.)
If you're coming down a mountain (Eisenhower Tunnel, Vail, Glenwood Canyon) the ISX will hold you snug as a bug in a rug (1500 to 1800) and it could hold you up to 2400 rpm if needed, not that you'd want to and hopefully you never need to. Not a good idea to take your Detroit over 2000. Even if you need to. -
I've never met anyone at a TA qualified to fix a wheelbarrow...
bigyellowjimmy, superhill56 and Blind Driver Thank this. -

I watched a "technician" at the Fargo Petro fighting with some new brake shoes because the S-cam was in the wrong position. (It would be in the wrong spot if it previously had worn linings) the idiot didn't know enough to rotate the cam via the slack adjuster.
