just because it has that many miles doesnt mean its a bad truck, I have met people with trucks that had close to 2mil miles, one of them being an original engine.
I would just make sure everything looks good is all since you have no idea how they ran it, when its your own truck you take pride and it last a lot longer but this was definitely a team truck and probably company owned? so never know how they took care of it. Just double check everything before jumping in. I have seen some decent trucks with less than 500k miles selling for $50k
looking in to buy 2011 lonestar with 800,000 miles 500 commin and what is with dpf

i would guess that truck was on a dedicated team run if you find out what the truck did if it was a light loads team and well maintained it might in fact be in far better shape than a lower millage solo truck and should have very little idle time on it and very little stop and go driving

2011 lone stars were available VERY early 2010 up here, I looked at them so it could technically have 4 years of running on it. OR, poster is in Canada and its kilometres?

I LOVE THE LONESTARS, Best looking truck around! No Maxforce engine of course, but 800,000 miles in 2years...I'm not sure I'd even hook an Rv up to it and not worry.
Are you going to share the cost of the truck? We are all w a I t I n g.....

I aggree with the rest on this one. 800,000 miles is at the point of an overhaul being in the very near future. All those specs look and sound good if it were a truck with 20-30,000 miles younger. You also need to consider the tranny and the rears. This truck has been run hard and whoever owned the truck at that time got the good out of it. Unless you have a ton of money to spend on repairs, keep looking. I have been down the road you are about to go down. Don't do it. If the engine has already had an overhaul and you see the reciepts for it, and the tranny dosent have any whines and shifts good then you might go ahead with it. However, the front end also has a lot of banging in its history as well.
Go on your gut feeling. You heard mine. -
I'm real surprised they are asking that much, they KNOW better!

Contrary to some others here, I've been pricing trucks lately. That is a good price for today's market on a limited production truck. It's the lowest priced 2011 that isn't wrecked, and 08' and 09's are going for similar prices with similar miles, and I would but a high mileage team truck that's 3 years newer over the solo truck with the same amount of miles that's 3 years older.
