Wilson Electronics would be your best bet.

Here is the thing about cell boosters. In poor service area they give you more bars and better connection. In an area with no coverage, you still wont have coverage. There are areas without towers and a boster wont help you.

Correct, but with a one more detail.

This is a technology that I have tested. I found on multiple occasions that the booster eliminated a dead spot where two towers were far enough apart to cause a "no service" dead spot, but not far enough with the booster on.

So, you are right that in a large dead area, it would not help. But in many cases the dead area was small enough in our tests that you went from "no signal" to "some signal" by turning the booster on and off. And there aren't very many "large" dead areas left.

The other cool thing that we found as a side effect was that the wireless one boosted the internet speed of these "MiFi" or "JetPack" style cellular internet hotspot devices and the hotspot function built into many phones now. That was kinda a big deal in some bad 3G or 4G areas and unrelated to just the "voice connection" part of the test.

The Wilson products work. been running a "sleek" in the truck for a few years. It gets out when others are dead.

Wilson sleek, but change the antenna over from the stock one and everything is great.

I want one of the new 4g models if they would release one that isn't a cradle.

I did get a better antenna. This is the one I have It did make a difference in the performance of the unit. Works a lot better with the new one.

There is a Wilson on the truck i just bought. i haven't decided if it actually helps or not. it seems to up the signal bar, but not make much difference in usability. very subjective though.

Is it just the antenna unit or a full booster set up.

I did use just an add on antenna for a while, did help some, but not as good as the booster set up.
