Don't know if this was posted anywhere yet, but it really set me off when I read it. What a flaming bag of turds this company is. And they're part of/owned by a supposed"Christian" company to boot.Read on:

DAC reports are a way of companies holding the power to black ball drivers for little or no real reason. If drivers took enough of a stand it wouldn't be long before more companies started treating drivers better and with more respect.

That was a good post... to bad for the driver and family. However it reveals a lot to people and drivers as to what the company (Covenant and SRT) are all about. These companies were not new-bad news for me as I have been around on the road long enough to know what they were about. Thus, it does not surprise me at all. I have worked in both trucking and business, and know full well that money is the bottom line, and you are always replaceable...even if you die. I have never considered myself part of any company family, nor do I want to. I smile and go my way and always, always...keep the back door open.

Yeah and its the part that the story reads, as being an all too common thing that happens around the industry that gets me. I remember reading the thread about it when White's girlfriend put the thread up.
To be honest I wasn't too surprised, and just hoped the best for her.
The more I hear and read about it, though the more it hits home. As just now wen I read the story again and had explained to my wife what had happened. She couldn't even believe me, which even hit home even farther.
That could have been me and my wife trying to get me home. It just isn't right.
I hope they do something about this, I hope they make a public example of the company so it never happens again, to anybody, regardless of what company they work for.Last edited: Aug 5, 2013

More companies then not are like this. The only time they care is when you're driving and want the drivers to do forced favors for them but won't help drivers out. From what I have read,Raymond drove all his available hrs.He sounds like he was an excellent driver and this is how SRT shows there appreciation.SRT did make a response sending their sincerest condolences to the family and calling Ray a valuble member of the team.Ya whatever. My big toe has more compassion caring and support then SRT ever will.I say the family get a lawyer and sue the crap out of them.
drvrtech77, mje and TruckDuo Thank this. -
On the back of Covenant trailers it reads "Its not a choice its a child" Well Covenant/SRT "Its not a dead dog its one of your drivers who passed away slaving away for your bottom line and needs you to do the humane thing"

When it came down to the 2000 dollars to have Raymond transported back home that team family #### went out the door. SRT/Covenant are a 500 fortune company and could of easily had him transported. The rats feel untouchable because of they're company layers,
I've worked with a few companies and some treat you pretty decent, I've had some really go out of there way to try and help.
SRT aint #### . no morals at all. shame on you. Like I said you guys aint ####.
Hopefully they wiil sue that's what I was talking about.Last edited: Aug 5, 2013

till most experienced drivers get flushed down the toilet and gangs of werner-swift trained newbees picked up from welfare flood the freeways and streets taking four-wheelers off the road and crashing into poles and buildings..there is no need for anyone to bother. so, just document things in writing, keep records and be a person if you have to protect your reputation one day in court. nobody is untouchable. cr england and swift both could have bought their way out, yet there are law suits against both. it just takes one upset and determined driver and there are hundreds of others to claim their slice of cake in class action. if the case looks remotely green, there will be lawyers interested. those ones who get paid on results
