Hey people. I am just on here to see if anyone has any updated information on CARB. I called these ########## and the guy on the phone said, "well sir, you either have to buy the filter or just upgrade", like its a piece of cake. Im stressing out on what the hell to do. Bought my 07 Century for almost 40k couple years ago and the same dealer is offering me 7. Any idea if trade-in's out of state are any better? What year should i look for to have a Filter that is actually good. Please, any info. will help.

why are you trading in your 07????? it's already setup.

you only have to worry about 06 and older models.

and you're never gonna get a good trade in from the dealer. they buy low and sell high. it's the same methodology as cars.

Aftermarket DPF's are 10-20 grand and tend to burn trucks to the ground....

I think most 2007 trucks have non dpf (EPA 2006) motors so he may not have a filter. If he does have a filter (or retrofits one) he is good til 2024. Just a few hours ago I heard that CARB did not approve an extension for one truck o/o's, so we will all have to be compliant, leave the state (which is my current best option) or run outlaw as of Jan 1st.

I don't have the guts to start the revolution, but I would dang sure join in somebody else started one.

Haha @boardhauler...Man I am with you on that one. I am not going to spend 20k on a POS filter. I think its better taking a loss and claiming that on my taxes and upgrading my truck. I think freight will be worth more in the coming years because of this.

The freight rates will go up for CARB compliant trucks just as much as it did when 53' trailers first came out.

    Boardhauler and EverLuc Thank this.
