I have a new cobra 29 classic, new coax, new antenna and mount on mounted on mirror of mack truck. Have ground wire from antenna to frame of truck. My antenna is tuned and my swr on channel 1, 20, 40 are all good and i get great reception.problem i have is when i have my dynamike turned up or hold mic a little to close to mouth and speak into mic my red ant light blinks on. When i key up and dont talk, turn dynamike down, or hold mic further away and speak i dont have this problem. What could be causing this.

    It sounds like Over modulation.

blinking ant light is not a big deal if it bothers you that bad you can have a shop adjust the swr meter pot

it will not have no effect on your radio if it stays red when your talking then you have a problem

but since its just blinking not a issue

Yep. Could just be the light needs to be adjusted... But before doing so I would make dang sure your SWR is under 1.5 first... Don't rely on the radios meter to be accurate, check with a external SWR Meter, or better yet, if you don't have one, have someone with a Antenna Analyzer check the antenna. Any CB Shop worth a dang, will have a Analyzer.
