Very valid point. This also makes finding a company that hires in my area a lot more challenging.

Im doing LTL in the west mi area and I see a lot of GTI trucks running this area. Its good to see they are a respected company to work for. Never can tell I have been getting tired of the LTL thing and have been thinking of going back to OTR.

Been running pretty good this week. Left Pontoon Beach and picked up in St Louis for Carthage, MO. Emptied out in the caves and came out into a torrential downpour (yay). Then headed down to a town called Noel, MO. Wow. Talk about stuck in 1953. Got loaded and headed for two stops, one in Mccarran, NV and then Riverside, CA. Took 95 and 395, two roads I've never driven, and totally worth it. Wow. That's all I can say. Unloaded in Riverside and DH up to Richgrove, CA for a load of grapes that said picked up on Sunday. Nope. Place wasn't open on Sunday. So grabbed it Monday am for delivery today in Grandview, WA. Nice thing is there is parking at this Walmart, so looking for a close enough spot wasn't an issue. Got a preplan to pick up in Ontario, Oregon going to Woodburn, OR for later tonight that delivers Friday. Which makes my week over 4,000 miles and $1700 more in my pocket. Mind you, I've been running off the back 8 days, picking up hours here and there. Gordon really has it down to a science when it comes to maximizing your hours.

Really like your new tag about the Cowboys... Jerry Jones needs to hire a good coach then go somewhere as far removed from football as he can..like maybe Cleveland. . And let the coach run things...

Did you notice the low clearance on 58 in Noel?

How bad was the detention in Noel? I think it was 11 hours when I did that run,,,,,

Good to hear things are going well. I am just coming down US-95 myself. Loaded in Hermiston. That load makes me cry every time I open the inspection door and see all those onions. I always take 99, 58 and 395 to go to Riverside and other places in the L.A. area. I will offload tomorrow in the City of Industry and have to bounce to Parlaire. I will probably go up 395 again since all the construction on I-5 sucks. I got stuck in that the last two weeks. Getting paid hub miles does have its benefit at times.

Not that I really want to run onions (heavy) but when they say vented van I am wondering is I am vented enough. I have a vent in the forward bulkhead and a vent in the rear door. Both a little over a foot square. Would that qualify? I know eventually I will find an awesome paying load to Boise and my son is going to play football against Boise State in Boise next year and I could always grab onions out if my trailer works.
