1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Schneider National Inc. is adding 200 truck drivers in Arizona and opening a facility in Phoenix. The new facility, 4044 W. Lower Buckeye Road, is scheduled to open in September and will support Schneider’s growing customer base utilizing its Western Regional service.

Schneider has experienced over 40% growth in load volume in Arizona in the past year. The new Phoenix location will complement Schneider’s base of operations and customer service in the West, which includes facilities in Fontana, Calif.; French Camp, Calif.; North Salt Lake City, Utah and Portland, Ore. Schneider’s Western Regional offering serves customers in 11 western states.

Schneider is hiring both experienced drivers and driving school graduates and is offering sign-on bonuses of up to $5,000. Most drivers will work in Schneider’s Western Regional division, enjoy weekly time-at-home and can earn over $50,000 per year with complete benefits. Driving school graduates are eligible for up to $6,000 in tuition reimbursement.

Lease opportunities with Schneider are also available to owner-operators throughout the state. Owner-operators are eligible for up to $7,500 in a lease-on incentive. Both percent of revenue and mileage lease options are available to owner-operators. This is key, as Schneider previously did not offer its popular percent-of-revenue, or “choice,” lease option to owner-operators west of Texas. The percent-of-revenue lease option enables owner-operators to select loads from Schneider’s load board and dispatch themselves, ensuring maximum control and flexibility for small business owners.

Schneider began its transformation to offer Regional service in 2008, beginning with Western Regional service. The transformation was completed in 2010, with Schneider offering Regional truckload service in the 48 contiguous states through hubs in four regions. Schneider’s Regional service complements its Long Haul, Team Expedited, Dedicated and Bulk truckload services and provides tailored solutions for shippers’ needs.

Regional miles now make up nearly half of Schneider Van Truckload’s total miles. In the past two years, Schneider has added Regional offices in Columbus, Ohio and Nashville, Tenn. to support its Midwest and Southeast regions, respectively. Additional locations in other regions are being explored for further Regional expansion.

The Phoenix location will add to Schneider’s current network of 36 facilities across North America in which Operations, Customer Service and Driver Services are offered for Van Truckload, Dedicated and Bulk divisions.

Does this mean that Phoenix will have a bulk division?

Wonder if these jobs are shuttling loads in and out of Cali .... Then be reloaded on non soot burners. Seems like there is going to be a market for this kind of thing.

I don't see Schneider building a facility just to help a few Centuries and Colombias stay busy.
They are almost all gone and most of the ones you still see are dedicated.

I called about it and they said no immediate plans for bulk there. I'm curious as to why.
