    Late again...

2 days off turned into 4 because Loaders was closed over the weekend. I am $150 in the red but it was worth it to see my wife and family. This week was okay. Would have liked to have gotten in another trip before cut off but I should still be positive this week. Heading to SpringMo to get a brand new APU put on the truck because I don't want an APU I have to manually vent. I've decided to keep the truck for the rest of the lease so I'm going to get the roof piece taken off. Other than that I have been busy and hope it stays that way.

    Laters, GunMetal345 out!

let us know what the fuel mileage is after you get a few loads pulled after shield is taken off. Hope you do well and be safe.

Your PTO and APU will be accounting for some of the difference between what the ECM tells you, and what a paper and pencil calculation from your fuel receipts and mileage shows...

It can be up or down for me. Like this week, figured my mpg to be 7.6 but it was 8.4 for the week. Last week I figured 8.2 but it came in at 8.0. I'm sure I will get better at it with more practice. I have to pay for all the work I got done today but after that it should be smooth.

APU is running great. I can sit in my truck now, cheers. There are no brackets sticking up on my roof. There are only black squares on the back of my blue truck to let you know the wind shield was once up there. I'll be rolling after I get my restart.

My fixed expenses are actually a little under $1300. I finally took some time to peel through my settlement and the other costs are accounts being settled or built up.

I'm sticking with this truck because of the fuel economy. My FM is pleased with what I've been doing and told me only a few of his drivers are making 8+ on mostly loaded miles. He told me the guys that got 9+ did it off mostly empty miles. That made me feel better about driving around at 50 mph. I drive 51 when I'm loaded now.

    EARLY Update:

No unexpected expenses this week. Fixed cost for me are a little under $1300 dollars. Only did 2 loads before cut off but still made enough to settle last week and bring in enough cash to last me until the end off the month. The next three weeks will be used to pay off the work done today and so I can take home time at the end of the month. Going to put most of it aside so I can take about five days this time and get my wife a couch.

    Later guys, GunMetal345 out!

Thank you. All I need now are some new coveralls and winter gear. I still need my truck fund built up to where I want it but that's about it on my to do list. The rest of this year will be truck fund and a new laptop. 2014 I'll be saving to buy trucks. Even on the worst week I'm getting 8 mpg and feel I can get better when I can get a groove going. So for 2014 I feel I can make at least $75k with that I can get three trucks and live comfortably. Going to get them all in the Refrigerated Division and push them to train.
