Its costing me $140k for truck, trailer, authority, permits, etc plus flatbed equipment. Truck and trailer are used but not the cheapest crap junk you can find but not brand new either and this is with a $20k operating capital which is $10k more than the industry standard. Allows for more cushion just in case. Trying to buy a small 2-3 truck fleet on $100k and all you'll end up with is no money in the bank and junk equipment with loads of problems. You must be savvy and wise in how you spread it out and what you get or you'll be out of business before you even pull your first load.

Down payment on a decent sized ag farm, preferably with a "fixer upper" residence. Work the farm into a profitable basis, invest in off-grid technologies like solar cells, wind energy, and hydro-electrics to continue reducing costs and still for developing my own alternative fuels for farm use only. Go completely off grid and self sufficient except for communication (phone, web, entertainment), and enjoy life.

Good women always think they're entitled to half... Bad women just want a hundred bucks and a pack of smokes the next morning.

If you're going to invest it, look for a balanced portfolio like a separate account that contains some put option portfolio to help protect against downside movement. If you're going to invest it in any kind of business, understand the meaning of leverage and what a levered ROI is first. If you're going to invest it in trucking, set 10% aside to blow on living large for a week on the beach somewhere with a beach lizard or two. That way when trucking gobbles up the other 90%, at least you'll have the week on the beach for memories.
