Just got anew Volvo 670. Radio has both bluetooth and aux input. I've tried to play my iPhone through both and neither works. It works fine in both of my 4-wheelers, both of which have the same capability: Bluetooth and aux input. Ideas? Anyone out there with a new 670 that is doing this?

Last I remember there is an adapter you have to buy to get Bluetooth capabilities with the truck and phone. Did you make sure the aux mode was set instead of am/fm?
-
Yep, 1st thing I checked. Another driver in our fleet has the identical problem so I am thinking its probably a setting on the radio somewhere we can't seem to find.
-
Yea my 670 has the aux port but no Bluetooth. My aux port seems to work just fine though.
-
Flatdedn, did u so anything besides pushing the aux button on the radio? R u running an iPhone?
-
Yea I got an iPhone 4. If you are using USB cord it is stubborn but if it is the 3.5mm aux cable it works fine as long as it is on aux mode.
MysticTrucker Thanks this. -
Thanks, maybe the 3.5 wasn't seated correctly when I tried it last. I'll give it another go.
-
What brand is the radio in the truck? Is it the radio from the factory?
-
STexan, yep, it's the factory Volvo radio with Bluetooth. There are also Aux and USB ports on the dash.

I don't know what radio manufacturer Volvo is using for radios these days. Maybe the radio is blue-tooth "ready" meaning you have to maybe add a special-order BT radio transmitter to a port in the back of the radio? I'd talk to the service foreman at your nearest Volvo dealership.
MysticTrucker Thanks this.
