I wouldnt trust craigslist, i'd go with indeed.com, or go to the local truck stops and talk to other drivers.

I've found http://www.glassdoor.com to be useful too, some of those companies have reviews by former/current employees.

WOW its hard right now to find a contract. We are in OKC, OK and have trucks and trailer and experienced drivers. None of these companies are biting right now for us. Anyone know where the contracts are?

Yea, if you find one let me know add me to the list. I worked all last week, but dispatcher took off weekend and has not called me back today, nor responded to text. I'm hauling Enterprise right now exclusively. This is starting to become BS, no more money in oil like before, just getting our chains yanked.

Just as the oil boom went up it seems to have gone as well.

Thats becuase every idiot and their dog wants to come out and haul crude...ruining the nice lil niche that everyone has had for years. Typical that when ya find something good, it all goes to hell in a hand basket almost as fast...

Dirtyfoot is right I hear $15K-20K a month quoted by a lot of O/O in the area, one guy was teaming and claimed they both raked in close to $45K for the month. Have to disagree with his outlook on the TX Panhandle. I meet lots of new O/O all the time running out of that area. Maybe the contracts with certain carriers is slow but they are drilling and fracking like crazy over there. I know BlackRock has been bringing on lots of O/O because some of their company drivers are complaining they are getting skipped over for work and it is being given to the O/O. Also Mercuiria is not just O/O, I hauled from them as a 3rd party several months back.

Enterprise has lost lots of contracts over the past 6 months to other carriers so that is your problem. I know for a fact they lost good wells to Sunoco and to Plains.

I'm sorry to say I know a few who have done just that! Sunoco and Plains seem to be more stable right now. I know Enterprise lost a big Devon account to Plains and a Linn account to Sunoco. Not sure why Enterprise is having so many issues but you are not the first O/O I have heard from this week.
