Money is the evil here, Melton will work you more securing your load, Etc. not that you don't in van but there is less of kit, In van you will be bumping docks but probably not as much as a skateboarder, do you like to work out and do physical work? If so then go to Melton. Good Luck on your decision.

I dont mind the physical work and I like that u can bank days with melton. Knight doesn't offer that. Been following everybody on the postings about knight and melton and so far I have only read 1 bad review about melton and quite a few about knight. Thanks for your inputs luvtotruck and slim shady. Your advice is greatly appreciated!
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Definitely go with Melton.

Thanks chinatown!

So do u make a little more on flatbed than drive van or is it about the same?

dry van is flooded with people. Flooded to the point there is not enough freight to keep everybody making decent money, combined with the fact dry van generally pays a little less "per mile" then flatbed. Don't sweat the percentage or mileage model decision. You can run mileage or percentage in the beginning and their probably won't be hardly any difference in gross pay. You can change later if you decide to and once you figure out the game.

with melton. you do a lot more work for free.

in the trucking business. you don't get labor pay. and there's a lot more labor involved to flat bedding. -
I relish the physical work after drivin mile after mile. Anybody here run a skateboard business just with a single axle and a 26'...?
