We have walked up to a mile from a TS to eat at a good restuarant. It's good excersize, BUT that only works at the end of the day, not if we are still moveing. We stop alot in Vernon Tx at the Walmart and walk over to the restaurants and stores on the other side of 287, but generally not the middle of the day. Their is noway he is going to drop a trailer to go eat, we'll eat PB & J first.
I'm gonna add Coles BBQ ext 198 in Fairfield Tx. Food alway's good, but some days it's excellent, they do breakfast also.

There is a fish place, on US 287 in Texas, N. of Ft. Worth, eaten there twice, huge lot, can't recall the name of the place. Every time it's packed with cars, trucks, RV's.

The Big Texan in Amarillo has truck parking, plus I think they run a limo to the truck stops nearby.
I've got a few restaurants near where I live, but I don't let it out to much so people don't come in and abuse it, then I won't be able to eat there. -

River City Grill I90 exit 109 in Montana has excellent food. I've had the ribs, chicken mushroom alfredo and the spaghetti. Their peach and coconut cream pie is as good as it gets. Pilot is right behind it.
Applebees I80 exit 353 in York, NE. Its right across the road from the Petro. Nothing special but better then truck stop food.
Sam Bass steak house I80 exit 107 Big Springs, NE it shares a parking lot with the Pilot. -

Mt. Vernon, IL...park at any of the ts's and there's a dozen restaurants, all walking distance. I like to find the "mom and pop" ts's, they usually have a good restaurant. Can't recall the name of it, but there's one about 5 miles N of the Wal-Mart DC in Pageland, SC. Great restaurant, problem is only 8 parking slots.
