As the title says, I'm looking at finding a different company. I am right at 6 months experience right now, trying to grin and bear it for another 6. I average 5-6k miles per month and alot of our drivers are being begged to go home weekly. NOW, I am at .38 a mile about to go to .39 and at a yr I will be at .40. I live in SE tenn and really the mileage is not there for drivers in the SE area (ya this is happening to alot of us). I have a clean record, no cargo claims, have hauled oversize, TWIC card etc. Looking to get 2200 miles per week. Could care less about being home every weekend. Any suggestions that may not be a step back for me?

    Look at these companies :

    Burkhart Enterprises
    LandAir

Burkhart has several types of trucking, including tanker & flatbed. They do local and OTR using Mack sleeper trucks for the OTR. Pretty ineresting website. They are located East of Knoxville beside the river.
Check Careerbuilder and Indeed websites for tanker/hazmat also.

If they can verify the oversize (hope you saved your permits) you might be able to get on at .42 or even .46 with Lonestar. Miles would probably be around 2500-2800.

good, pretty sure they do hire there, were always through there 40 to 81. Give em a call. Pay hard to say, you did just the one oversize? regardless better than none and gives you a leg up over the no experience guys.

Check out Melton too. I've only been here three months but I've ran at least 10k miles each month. We run alot down in this area.
