I'm going out on a limb here, Most all company tractors have air gauges for the rear axle, if not ALL late model trucks.

That's what I thought, morr2fab, but I was talking to a Heartland driver today that didn't have one on his 2014 Pro-Star--so I'm wondering if they're ALL like that, at Heartland

No tractors that I have driven at Heartland have suspension air gauges. You have to scale every load that you have any doubt of. The company pays back for all scales. But if over at a state scale the driver pays. If you hook a load that someone else got loaded and dropped or on a relay. Then both drivers are responsible. So if the second driver gets a scale ticket, the driver that dropped the load for him has to pay half.
BTW morr. In case you just got confused. The gauge he was talking about is not for brakes. It is for judging the weight on your drive axles. Most trucks do not come with them. They are an option, or in most cases are added after market. -
Hey ChromeDome--When I had a Pro-star (with Central) it didnt have a weight gauge on the dash,it had a weight readout on the odometer--you had to cycle thru the different screens to get to it though, it seems like I had to go thru 11 screens to get to the weight (it would read in lbs, like 32K or whatever the weight was)--Have any of you Heartland drivers that dont have a dash gauge cycled thru the screens to see if it shows up there?

It does not. Central leases the Prostars with the Eagle package mostly though. Heartland buys the base model. Notice the wording difference, lease VS buy. Heartland is debt free and pays cash for all equipment. Then has a stellar trade in setup, as long as miles stay low. They make allot of money on selling trucks and trailers. Buy low, sell high. The only thing on the info readout on our Prostars is the miles, trip miles, mpg and such. Cannot even get to the codes for breakdown.

Yeah, I went over to FL.J. here in Barstow a couple hours ago and went through the screens with a Heartland driver and you're right, no weight--
