I need an affordable speech to text recognition program!!!

    I am going back to college this fall. I need an affordable (preferably free:biggrin_255:) speech to text program.

    I understand there is some weak imitation program already on my laptop, but it does not recognize any commands. It is developmentally disabled!!!

    Anyone have a reccomendation???

    I hear good things about dragon speech to text.

    The one comes w/ windows doesn't do too bad, just remember it has a learning curve, it needs to learn you and takes goobs of ram... I got no clue if dragon works the same?

    Try Dictation Pro it is a free program and works pretty good. Any voice recognition software will take some time to train the program to learn your voice. But the more you use it the better it will become.
