Well that's what I'm hoping lol if I keep talking about them they'll go away. I'm due a good week I haven't broken 2000 in 2 weeks now. Thats not worth turning the key for. But as it is know ill deal with another one tomorrow and its going to be an annoying day parking wise.

 

if you cats look at your bills most of these suck ### loads are Texas star loads is what I'm noticing . I'm just wondering if we are finishing up there old contracts ? Also last year in July I was running my ### off but sence this merger July and August sucks .

 

Got me thinking the sane thing since I'm now four hours into a Walmart live unload in Baytown, tx.

 

all mine have been our usual customers......just gotten stuck with the live end of the stick over and over again. finally got a preplan that's d/h on both ends after 11 straight days of hurry up and wait.

but it puts me in thomasville tomorrow at 1500. that close to home on Thursday. again. say hello to another weekend of running I guess. on recap this time no less.

the only bright side of running so little and sitting so much is i'm carrying plenty of hours through the recap over into each successive day. like that's a bright side.

1300 for the week when I deliver Thursday.

 

it's only Thursday...you might get more by Tues. I'm sure! Lemme just say RI SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! haha Anyone been to Atlantic Coast Packaging in Central Falls, RI will know how much FUN it is getting IN AND OUT of this place! Then this is due tomorrow in NC....the timing is sooooooo tight I don't know if it'll make it! Plus, I only waited for 3 hours for a preplan and told where to get an MT at!

 

Well after what turnedout to be a three hour unload at Walmart I'm now three hours into waiting at a shipper in orange, tx. Haven't started loading me yet!

 

so I did 630 miles today! From RI to Oxford, NC in 10:32!!!! I went through GW bridge, Baltimore and Washington! That'll NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN! haha Talk about luck on my side! Now to vent, haha, I told DM, on the phone, I would have just enough time to make truckstop and call it a day! EVEN sent in a message when they sent me a preplan! Which was undoable for today! Get another one.......said the same thing...so they just went ahead and put me on it! I called the shipper to let them know I couldn't make pick up and what time they opened so I could pick up in the morning(NEVER said ANYTHING about my HOS or ANYTHING!)....they called the company complaining about me calling them! REALLY?!?!?!?! So DM calls me and tells me to NEVER call a customer again! YOU'VE GOTTA BE KIDDING ME! Isn't this part of OUR JOB?! We provide a service...after, almost 2 years of driving, I've NEVER had a customer call and complain about me calling them. WTF is wrong with people now? I swear people just get dumber and dumber, like that movie Idiocracy!

 

sorry to hear this......was your company at wrong thinking u could make it??? and calling the shipper , I would think that they would love heads up!!!.....some time its #### it you do and #### if u dont.....

 

We have some customers that are like that. They flip their wigs if the drivers call. Lowes and most of the ikea are 2 that come to mind but there are quite a few others. Usually though its buried somewhere in the comments section of the load assignment 'driver do not call customer service only' but some don't. I just let my DM and/or customer service do it if I need it done. That's their job.

 

last week, i had a delivery, saw i could make it a day early, asked dm can i deliver early? no response. called the customer and they said yes as long as i made by 230pm. was no problem, while unloading my dm wanted to know if i get there early as he needed for me to bring a trailer back gnsboro to charlotte. told him already unloading he said good job. i should be getting his pay too.
