Questions on Werner

Hey there,

I had a short week long stint at werner about 3 years ago but I figured things may have changed. I have a good friend who is looking into trucking and doesnt have such a hot record or work history. He is looking to turn things around for his family and do the right things. With that being said, I know he can do better company wise but I want to help him research and make sure he'll be okay.

Does werner check you out from head to toe before coming out? Like checking dac,mvr, background, felonies? or do they just bring you out and wait to run everything down the road?

He is like me and he is a pretty big guy who is out of shape.. lots of unemployment and bad choices have been made.. They want him to go on a dollar general account... Is there a requirement of how many loads he will need to do once he is done training and in his own truck?
Is anyone going to get mad if he's slow at doing it for the first little bit?
What are the realistic weights of these roll carts he will have to push.. I read someone said one was 700-800 pounds?
This isnt realistic weight figures is it?
Will his dc have a scale like wal mart does, so he can scale the load before he goes out the gate or will he have to go up to the petro in kingdom city and scale each load?
Does the dc resemble wal mart and allow the dg trucks to park overnight and supply a driver lounge with showers?

If he was to go to werner, will he get treated a little better since he will be working out of fulton mo?
Anyone have experience with the dispatchers there?
Know what areas he will run?
