hurry up and wait for another live unload on a whole 180 from Thomasville off the yard to new bern. sure hope I get something back that way when they're done. told them in dispatch this morning when I left I needed something back through there for the weekend since I was still on recap and need to reset. one o/o and one company know-it-all supertrucker in there running their mouths didn't think I was ever going to get my paperwork and get out of there. the o/o was complaining and turning down everything they tried to give him and the know it all was just being an obnoxious know it all....she finally told them both she needed to take care of me since they obviously were going to be there awhile.......anyway, .I told him I only lived 10 minutes from the yard and it shouldn't be so hard to get in.....the blonde behind the glass told me those of us that live so close to the yard are the hardest to get home......I immediately called ######## on it......get something through there, drop it on the yard for the supertrucker that never goes home to run, and I go home and reset. especially since i'm already a week out on recap. what's so hard about this concept? we used to do it all the time. judging by all the trucks on the yard this morning plenty of them had no trouble getting in. there wasn't even room to park. needless to say I don't think I made many friends this morning. oh well. been a long time since I rubbed someone the wrong way so I guess I was due. and got at least 2 at once this morning lol

gotta get a new inverter this weekend.....just looked at that thing two days ago and thought to myself how i'd really gotten my money out of it....I've had it almost 30 years....using it at races, on camping trips, bike runs, and the last 2 1/2 years constantly in the truck.......of course yesterday it gave 3 puffs of smoke out the back and died lol......

I guess i'm lucky with my dm......he always either answers the phone, or returns my message in a reasonable amount of time......and is pretty quick on the qc......even if there's a wait on the load he always send a message saying planner is working on it or stand by......when I have those things come up I just shoot him a message and usually follow up with a call and it gets taken care of.

overheard at the TA in Knoxville the other night..........guy was cleaning out his CRST truck and piling stuff into his girl's car......couldn't believe how much he'd stuffed in that truck had her backseat filled up to the roof lol........she was pleading with him to at least call them and tell them something and his response was......."#### em....they'll find it eventually"......don't guess he's planning on driving anywhere else.

not bad for a live unload......40 minutes and they're done. guess we see if I get back where i'm supposed to be

    dinkytruckerdoo Thanks this.

I've NEVER had a problem getting home! I did check the q/c message(load assignment) ALWAYS DO.....but I've never had a problem calling anyone....just mad that I "actually" got cussed out by my DM! I was so ready to reach through my blue parrot and punch someone in the face! As far as your CRST story....I had something similar happen up in Dupont(Petro), or Scranton, as some call it......First time I got a fuel stop there was filling up around 3-4 in the morning. There was a driver, bobtail, with truck parked next to the fuel building....cleaning his truck out, with these 3 other guys talking to him. Felt sorry for the guy, was stressed beyond belief, and kept saying #### this and #### that about his company(it was a no-name company)....but the guys kept telling him, "If you like driving so much, you need to have your wife follow you to a terminal and turn the truck in, or else it's the end of your career." Sure hope the guy listened to those other 3 guys!
What kinda inverter did you get? I need to get a new one for my truck.....I got the same one Les has in his truck and it's about gone kaput on me! haha

I haven't gotten one yet going to have to look around and see what's out there. this one was about 30 years old, a 400w portable that I've carried around forever. ran the tv and laptop together never had any problems with it. going to look for a big one this time to hardwire so I can bring the microwave out and maybe eat something other than the same old junk the wife keeps fattening me up with.

drug one up from new bern to chester and dropped and picking one up after my split and bringing back to Greensboro so I get in tonight for a change.....preliminary plan shows to the yard around 0115-0130......this ####### 1-5am bs is really starting to rub me raw. i'll STILL be stuck on a ####### Monday 5am reset even as hard as i'm trying to get off of it.

I learned about those malwart loads the very first one I had that was live.......6am apt, show up at the gate at 0515 6th in line.......show up at the receiving desk at 0602 and she stamped a big red LATE on my paperwork. it didn't surprise me any though after the time I spent with the working in the DC in laurens, sc in the early 90's.....nothing surprises me about them. I go across town just to NOT shop there.

lol, the way ya'll are talking now @ Epes, gots me thinking @ my decision to run with TSE. eh, maybe not.

Finally made it through orientation, got assigned a truck, 2012 cascadia with @ 158,000 miles on it. It's set @ 65 so i dodged that bullet...for now. Because as they are adopting more of the Epes rules the 63 mph trucks are on the way. Got the invertor installed yesterday and hooked first load this morning. (for future TSE/Epes outa Rockwall drivers, the shop won't install them for you anymore.)

thinking that once i drop this @ the Sam's DC in the morning, i'll be heading out to the coast. at least that's what every body keeps telling me. we'll see..

Lol even with some of the not so great changes over the last year it's still better than most. You could have done a lot worse.

Eta to the yard 0116. That's just ###### up. Especially when I knew 8hrs in advance by good planning I was going to get screwed on the reset again. But at least I'll get one this week.

that's what i keep telling myself. (they say, the more you say something the more it's believed. lmbo.) There are quite a few TSE drivers that are not happy @ running over to the coast. i'll guess i'll have to wait and see what they are like to make up my own mind. I was told that since i'm "coded" no NE that i won't see much from PA up and over, so dunno.

Don't know what coded is. I will ask bout the inverter install! Shop always demanded they do it , so they know its done right.
Weds I went down to Fort Bragg , for the Road Team. The military has started a truck driving school to train for jobs after service. Only cost to them is DMV fees! Looks like a great thing! Epes donated a truck to the school. One from Carolina Logistics, a 06 Volvo. Looked real sharp. Polished out the tanks and buffed out the paint. Looked lost new!
