We are starting up our own Hot Shot company running on a 3500 Ram. Getting our DOT & MC #'s and Insurance. The road block we are hitting right now is finding an insurance company that does not require Paid In Full for the commercial policy, as we don't have Five Grand in the pocket to drop on a policy. Anyone know of a decent/good Commercial Insurance company that takes monthly payments?

I tried to switch to OOIDA...(still in process) but it seems you have to take the WHOLE FRIGEN DAY OFF to get ahold of anyone to take your pymt!!! It's phone tag for 4 days running now. Unless you want to send your c.c info in an email,or you have Absolutely NOTHING TO DO ALL DAY but to keep calling to get ahold of your rep..well then yes by all means call them. If this is any indication of how their business is handled,I'm not impressed thus far!! And the females on the front lines answering the phones.....AWFUL!

I personally don't like talking on the phone while driving, even with hands free. So pulling over and hearing," would you like to leave a message" EVERYTIME,is just wasting my time and fuel.

    Chinatown Thanks this.

Yeah, that's what I've been noticing about Ooida...which is what brought me to asking what others are doing :)

I'll give Alexander & Alexander a shout and see what goes from there...and I'll be sure to let them know you referred me, Todd with Sho-Tyme. Thanks!

if it's progressive underwriting the policy then they are going off your credit score, you will need a different underwriter.

a majority of the other insurance places we've seen listed on here prior to this thread are all closed till a business day for quotes. it was a progressive policy so im sure any of the other third party insurances that use progressive as the underwriter will be the same.

currently we are researching into what it takes and who will give us a small business loan or grant for both small and disadvantaged business and small veteran owned business. as both of us in the company are military veterans.

you could always use a no/low interest credit card to pay it as well.

there actually pretty good, they handle claims better then any other company, and also take on newbies, which must don't.
