Rock im sorry to hear this. i went through the samething, in the first of the 90's for a company, PST which is long gone now.
I have talked to many who have had this happen at one time or another,
man give a shout out on your CB dont listen to any of the jerk's on there, I'm am sure in a short time someone will give you a hand, there are alot of very good people driving trucks, it's just you dont hear or see them for the big mouths.
I have been helped by brother and sister truckers when i was new to otr, and when the opp presented itself i have tried to pay it forward.

I don't know how people deal with this. If it was me in your position I'd start selling whatever fuel was in the truck the second I started getting hungry. Then if they leave me hanging longer I'd start makin' money selling whatever I could. Probably go something like this in the end, them: "Hey we got a load for ya, get to this place asap" me: "cant, trucks broken. someone stole all my fuel, alternators gone too, so are 3 injectors, and the fuel pump, oh and someone put the rig up on blocks and stole all the tires while I was in the bathroom"

Had a schieder tanker driver plow over railroad crossing gates where i live. Combination of him being stupid , crap directions and crap road signs saying no tractor trailers. he's not the 1st or last to do it. long story short. dude was not eating and was screwed in the head, offered me his fridge for $10. went a few yards to my home brought him 6 slices of fresh pizza. bought his fridge for $20 Too this day he made a clean getaway. not sure what he told schneider banging up the tanker lol.
