Good info. How did you shorten the bands superhauler? Which end did you shorten from? They are very fragile and one of my t-bolts somewhat pulled out of the end of the band when i was taking them apart. I was able to get it all back together.

if I remember right the end that has the curved pc of metal where the bolt goes through it. that is the end I used. bent the brackets then layed the band over the muffler and seen where to drill the new hole. be careful stainless is brittle. I used a vise to straighten the band before I drilled. I used a little heat from my fire wrench to keep from cracking the band.

How did you detach the band from the main muffler support bracket? On mine its riveted onto the J shape bracket.

I just shot a couple holes in my existing brackets and used a u bolt clamp to lock the smaller pipe in place. Just toss the stainless straps. Easy.

Say ENR, i am still trying to figure out how i am going to secure my muffler. My problem is the brackets on my t6 are cradling the muffler and not the end of the 5" pipe. So i can't find a 10" u bolt that will go around the muffler. If that is what you did, please fill me in on where you found the 10" u bolts.

Got the new muffler installed finally. Jacking up the brackets seemed to work ok. I only needed about 1.5 inches of height. Turbo sounds better, we'll see if there are any performance gains. I will keep everyone posted. I ended up finding brackets for a 10" muffler at Napa. I just drilled new holes in the existing brackets to the frame.
