I think with the hometime program you share with two other drivers. But, here's the deal. If they leave the truck a mess, you call your DSR and tell them what you have a problem with. If a certain driver doesn't wash or fuel up every single time, complain. They'll work something out (at least from what the other drivers on the hometime program tell me). I don't think you pissed anyone off with the comments--the truth is sometimes not pleasant. It happens, but you don't have to put up with it.

Snuggs, I really enjoyed my time up there in Marshfield. Made a few friends and still keep in touch with them. When I'm in Marshfield, I try to stop by and visit my instructors and the people at the apartment I stayed at (Keys). In my entire stay I only met one person who made it slightly less enjoyable (two if you count what happened in the poker room). If you have any questions about up there, feel free to ask. Marshfield isn't huge and it's not small and everything is a few mile drive at most (which can take 20 minutes with their lights). If I was in the position to, I'd probably consider moving there and hoping for a local job.

I thought RDTC was absolutely great. I would recommend it to my brother, son or friend. The facilities and instructors are top shelf. And like cmoore, I thought Marshfield was really a special place. Kind of cold for me, but the town and people were extremely nice. A good place to start.

Thanks for the responses. You're right, Marshfield is a great little town, I'm from nearby Wausau, but I used to drill at the NG armory in Marshfield. I think I'm lucky living so close to the terminal.

I think they try to pair up smokers and non-smokers together in the flex trucks. I know it's hard to do, but I know several of the guys who know each other and share most of the equipment instead of taking it out every time.

I just wanted to say that I have read this entire thread and appreciate all the good and bad that it had to offer. Base on this thread and others, I am going to be a member of this company. I just got off the phone with a recruiter and my orientation is schedule for March 12 in Ellenwood, GA. Set to go take physical tomorrow morning. Thanks for all the help in me making my decision and any more advice will be highly appreciated.

Oh, I was told that nothing was available on their SE rigional route so I choose to do national over the 7/3-4. :biggrin_25521:

Not suprised. if you're really interested, ask again about switching in the summer, i think a lot of national folk switch to SE, to dodge the brunt of winter.

Thanks, I will ask again during orientation and during the summer. Like others, I, too, would like to dodge the driving during harsh winter weather. Also, I passed the company physical today.
