Has anyone left school with cdl and not gone to the carrier they were supposed to ??

    Seeing if anyone out there has completed their school got their cdl and didn't go to the company they were supposed to .. do they hold your cdl ?? do they track ya down and garnish your wages ??? Thanks guys ..

    lol .. got away with one . Im not trying to beat the system here , I will fully pay the school back but the company I want to work for doesn't work with any schools ,

    Most if not all of the training schools want you stay 1 year or they will charge you for the training.

    Something else to consider, even if a company hires right out of school, they will probably want you to have attended a state certified school, not a trucker mill.

    I lasted about 3 months with Swift at .26/mile after training.

    FYI I've been to 3 different trucking schools and they're all pretty much exactly the same. They all use the same teaching methods and the books are almost exactly the same too.

    From other drivers if you go to a company sponcerd school you will have to sighn a contrac befor school starts and stay 8 months to 1 year to pay the fees back

    I went to CRE did the school and bounced they will place it on your credit eagle atlantic but hey I got my cdl 7 years later I still got my cdl

    Just curious, why would you need to go to attend 3 different trucking schools? I went to school 2 years ago and have felt no need to go to another one.
