True, not every company looks closely at every applicant, but I think all megas do.The smaller companies don't.I do too wish guys would do their homework before going with companies but most don't and most gamble with the lease thing without giving the company a trial run.Alot of excellent info is right here on the forum some good some not so good.Who would know better about companies then the backbone,THE DRIVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I second the advice but also add that this is a contract for employment, and there are other issues when contracts come into play.
I would try really hard to try to get back with the company and either work out an agreement where you can drive with them.mje Thanks this. -
No time spent waiting is NOT accruing. If by good standing you mean they will take me back than yes. If you mean will they consent that I worked for them and went to the training they gave than no,not in good standing.mje Thanks this.
-
Not sure what you mean there, the company I'm with will hire you with 3 months and some of the other megas will.mje Thanks this.

I am trying my hardest not to go back to a company that would have me drive 500 miles without pay to meet a co driver that they couldnt produce.Told me to drop the rental car at the airport and take the shuttle back knowing they DIDNT have a shuttle from the airport. They wouldnt pay for a cab and no one knew what to do next. Was I supposed to sit in Pa with no co-driver no money,a rental car I couldnt return for 8 months!?
-
I understand where you are coming from, but I don't get the idea of getting a rental car to go back home? Did they offer you some compensation for waiting (is that in your contract?) or did they say "you are not working out for us, see ya?
What do you mean by a rental car you could not return for 8 months?mje Thanks this. -
Contract means squat. Just send in a whole bunch of online apps and I guarentee a company will hire you. All company's know of CRST's bullcrap and the majority will ignore it. Yes you will be forced to pay CRST for the remaining contract but just send em $10 per month and eventually they will forget all about you. Don't let the scums get you down. Just move on and enjoy trucking. I would not go back to CRST if I were you.

No compensation for waiting, the rental car was to go to PA to meet the new co-driver.8 months is the time needed to finish the contract.THEY never said anything once I got there,no idea about another co driver and no money to drop the rental car off and catch a cab because they didnt have a shuttle like they said they did.I havent heard a word from them since I left!mje Thanks this.

Sounds like your contract has been terminated. You haven't heard from them. They haven't heard from you. You have a contact person at CRST. from what you're saying, there has been no contact.
Your story doesn't add up. They sent you to Pennsylvania to drop pick up another driver, who was fired, then told you to drop the car off. But it seems to me that you too were fired. They sent you home with no further contact, right?mje Thanks this. -
So where you waiting for a call or did you attempt to contact them?mje Thanks this.
