Very little difference in price or set-up between haldex or meritor.

Why don't you just replace them with the kind it has ? slacks are like anything else they wear out too . A good slack wont need to be touched more than 2-3 times a year if ya don't ride the breaks . Just my .02 worth but I wouldn't go to autos unless they made me !!!

Personally I like the Haldex better, when you buy them you get a guage, the slack must be positioned properly to work properly.
I made a tool to lift the button from a standoff bracket, just cut open the end and grind it sharp.
I took a 5/16 square socket and tacked it into an offset box-end wrench.
To adjust the slacks you just need at apply 100 lbs of air, when cold and if it is positioned properly it will adjust to the proper spec.
    Just a thought!

Haldex doesn't use the 5/16 drive adjuster or have a button to release the pawl. That's meritor.

Haldex is easier to set up and adjust. IMO, not any better or worse than Meritor, when set up correctly, both perform well. Haldex is more tolerant of the wrong length chamber rod (shouldn't be an issue, but it is more than you think). It doesn't take much before the Meritor will not adjust, but with a Haldex, it needs to be pretty far out.

Meritor uses a 2 pin yoke, which isn't bad, just an extra pin to get out when you change a chamber and the yokes are more expensive when you have to change them. You have to lift the pawl button to back the brakes off and it uses a little 5/16" sqaure adjuster. So you need an open end wrench or square socket.

Haldex uses a bracket to hold the adjuster and has the regular single pin yoke. It uses a 6 point 7/16" adjuster. They take more force to back off, but you can use a regular box end wrench or socket.
