Did Prime say "Sign a Lease and we will forgive you!" lol

What they are doing to you says ALOT about Prime and how they work. This sounds like come CR England crap!

If it was me and I was stuck, nothing was damaged, and I had to call a tow truck...well I would just pay the tow and never even tell anyone in my company about it. (Especially if I worked at Prime lol)

When I worked for martin I was bout 8 or 9 months in driving taking a back road in Louisiana and I come upon a low bridge but sign is waay down the road AFTER the turn. Its enough room for me to turn around but it had been raining and I got stuck in mud and muck (spent like an hour trying to dig out) so had to get pulled out. They wanted to charge me with and accident and making a u trun I got so pissed that I told them Ill go back down that street and make it one then you can. Of course they pleaded and said no Thats ok and we wont. But internally they screwed me. Even tho at that time I was "Doing a favor" Lesson Learned. Just an FYI If you feel unsafe dont do it, If its over your hours dont do it The company Will NOT have you back.

Why is this a bad mentality? The company makes the profit, they should have the risk too. If I wanted to pay for the stuff happens expenses I'd go buy a truck and have the headaches (and profit, if I'm any good as a business owner).

If you tell drivers they have to pay for their screw ups if they are at fault, I'll promise there will be a lot less accidents/incidents.

Or a lot of unreported accidents. Drivers that screw up then don't wanna get fired so they quit ASAP and hope no one finds out.

When I got stuck I freaked, since I thought my company would expect more from me. I bottomed out a trailer on an incline. I didn't wanna tell them and try to have a tractor pull me backwards, but I decided against it and just called them. I asked my dispatcher if I might lose my job since the bill was $1600 or so. She said no, not at all. Stuff happens. Then proceeds to tell me our trucks get stuck every time we go to that customer lol

There's a lot of uneven ground where they park the tow away trailers we move for a leasing company. So the only area for us to turn around is the place we get stuck.

No I had it cranked up as high as it would go. Some of the landing gears don't go as high as others. I came across some like this with my trainer, he said it's fine, we never had issues. Also my apron was nearly touching the pavement as well. I was nervous being on little backroads so I actually pulled the truck off to the side of the road before I turned onto it, and I took a little stroll down this road to see what it looked like to make sure it wasn't to steep or narrow. It wasn't. Just a little graveyard, a little church, some houses, and then the main road I was trying to get back on, highway 278 Alabama. I made it down the street no problem, stopped at the sign, then turned while thinking I was out of the woods. It's definitely my fault. My trainer warned me about backroads getting you into trouble. I was just thinking more about tight turns, not being able to climb hills, etc.

    This makes no sense.

If you go to the state and a state employee does your return and makes an error, they are not held responsible.

If you go to a restaurant and the waitress makes an error they do not pay for your food.

If your accountant makes a mistake on the return, you pay for it.

If your attorney loses the case, does the attorney go ahead and pay you?

The company is in the business of trucking. Things happen.

If they cannot afford it, time for them to close up.

This is crazy. I can't believe some of these post. So if a driver locks his key in the truck. The company should pay for the locksmith? He got lost, and so have we all. Doesn't matter if he had 3 months or 20 years. It's his fault and prime could charge him with the incident/accident and make him pay for the tow. Most companies treat incident's and accidents the say way anyway. At 3 months you are normally still under probation and they can fire your for the smallest thing. So see if they can take 100 or so out of your check until you pay it off.

I went into Oregon and didn't call the company to see if Oregon still had those permit rules. I did see and old permit that had expired 2 years ago. I got busted in the scale. Think it was 450 for that. I ended up having to pay for the permit. If I would of took 5 minutes to call about the permit I only would of paid 2 or 3 dollars for the fax at a truck stop.

I didn't like wearing a seat belt until I got a 150 plus dollar seat belt ticket. That sure did make me click it on more often.

If this was him going to a customer with company directions or directions from the customer. Then it's not his fault and company should have to pay. But because HE GOT LOST!! He should Pay for the tow!!
