As a new driver just out of school, does it look bad the longer you wait to get a job? i hope to find employment as soon as i graduate, if i could drive the schools trucks 12 hours a day for pratice god knows i would, i just love it but im concerned about finding a job at my age, being so young, so if it took a year or so ( i sure hope it doesn't) would that look bad to employers?

It shouldn't. I got my AZ when I was 19 took me 4 months to get a job, it was only a dump truck and I am now 23 still only driving trucks requiring a DZ. I now want to use my AZ and have emailed a couple companies and they say as long as I go back and do a refresher they will invite me for an interview and a road test.

A refresher is just a couple lessons. I contacted the school where I got my AZ and another local one about a refresher course and they said you go out with an instructor for as many times as you need and practice what you feel you need to brush up on until you feel confident. There are no tests.
