Well, i had no dental insurance for about 2 years before I started at Roehl. I thought I had pretty good insurance when I worked at the City but I will tell you that the Roehl Delta Dental is tons better than that was.
Most recently had the following done here in Grand Rapids... Initial exam with the full circle xray things, Cleaning, one Crown and two normal fillings.
Total out of pocket for all of this was about $460.00 which is a bargain if you know how much crowns can cost, in fact I think that most of that $460 was copay for the crown.
Seems like the exam and cleaning had no copays either. One thing I learned is to find your dentist through the wisconsin delta dental provider site. Not only do you get the full effect of the insurance but also these dentists have agreed to certain rate levels for different procedures which will further save you money for services.
Hope this helps some people....it's a good thing to go to the dentist, you don't want to be out driving somewhere with a severe tooth issue because you didn't take the time for a preventative exam.

I've had Delta PPO dental insurance. Have to say I'm happy to hear they use them.
-
I will be seeing the dentist 8/10 to get a crown fixed also. I don't want to be a toothless trucker either...

go blue glad you got yours thru insurance, medicare wont pay for dental. mine cost me more that the new desert eagle 45 i just bought.
-
When i hit 40 it was like hello...you need a few crowns...so i got those and then had a tooth with a hairline crack and it needed a root canal....LOL..no thanks, gettem fixed up before you get to that root canal stage. The root canal costs more and then you still get a crown after that and that drillin sucks a lot worse than a filing or crown.
I think todays crown was my fourth or maybe fifth. I really don't want to be out in maine or georgia or some far away state with a severe tooth issue.
I think the cleaning with Roehl's insurance was free too, just a matter of taking the time for the appointment.
PRIMO insurance, I wish United Health Care was this easy. -
they are very expensive but better than a pain in the mouth. LOL Obama forgot about national dental insurance. That one probably would have been a lot less complicated and confusing as the garbage they have going out. Can't wait to see how it all plays out.

I can wait.

Agreed, I can wait too!

im looking at roehl for training and starting out with them in the trucking business.. i noticed you said you went to a grand rapids dentist, are you from this area? i am from muskegon mi and was just curious how this company is. i feel they would be a great place to start, ive talked to a recruiter.. just hoping after training i get on the road soon afterwards. i asked the recruiter if i drove out to WI would i need to leave my car or have someone with me to drive it home.. well she said i would be sent home after training then send a trainer in my direction. i got a little nervous about this as ive heard from other blogs. companies saying if you get sent home worry it could be a while before your on the road.. just any in site would be grea -
With rdtc they send you home to transfer your cdl back to your home state. Ussaly within a few days to a week they have a trainer picking you up.
when I went through rdtc I only waited a week. Some from my class were out with a trainer in 2 days.
