Hello All!
I have read so many posts about drivers who driver for fleet owners with Panther or that have straight truck. I'm looking for O/O that run directly with Panther and have tractor/trailer set-up. I'm wondering how well you are doing, averaging what, and how is the freight (are you sitting a lot)? It would be great to hear from some solo drivers, but I'll take any information I can get.
Thanks!!

I hear that it's like being on call, but since all the new regs, maybe they've " readjusted".
I can't stand being woken up,so I could never do that, everything I do HAS to be planned. -
We ran there for 4 yrs and quit after ABF bought them. It seemed to us the bottom just fell out and others we spoke to as well. As a solo u wont do so well because of the nature of expidited freight. I have a friend there who's wife got fired and he stayed as a solo and is always complaining about not getting loaded/starving/going broke.

It is hard to really get a straight shot on what it is going to be like because one fleet owner may be great to work with, have the right contacts at Panther and get good paying loads. And then another fleet owner is just the worst in the world to work for.
What I can say about Panther is that all of the freight that we haul for them pays well.
Have you looked at driving a Straight Truck? Most of our Straight Truck drivers do better than the tractor guys (ones driving for fleet owners). In my opinion it is an easier life as well.
