Clutch for Volvo

Over double whgat you can get it done for. I know a shop that quoted me $1,500 out the door for solo clutch. PM me and I can give you the info if its not too late for you. He does other work on the cheap too, like brakes, suspension etc.

 

I was at volvo dealer in atlanta and i think they had a clutch installed for 1700. Yeah they are ripping you off big time.

 

What method have you employed to adjust mechanically adjustable clutches is volvos with hydraulic linkage? I ran into one where the inspection plate was tiny and the through out bearing was in the way.

 

You adjust the clutch you can not do anything with linkage if something is wrong with pistons or pedal you just replace them.

 

Not sure if the question was not clear, I was inquiring as to methods to adjust the the clutch as a the inspection plate was tiny, the through out bearing was in the way of the adjustment nut at all flywheel positions such that neither a box end or open end of a wrench could be used

 

You use both sides of the wrench it’s rwally tight quarters and a pain in the ### to adjust but doable. Just need to line up the clutch properly from the start
