Info on CFI Team Driving

I ran priority team for them briefly. They could not produce the miles.

However, I have been told that has changed since Conway bought them out. If not...you didn't hear it from me.

I saw their most current ad for teams. They have KW 660 and Freightliners Cascadia's avaliable for "new" teams, on a first come first serve basis.

In other words, to the first 5 teams that were hired in January LOL.

 

be careful w/ cfi/con-way truckload. they are attempting to get alot of teams now, but don't have a lot of team friendly freight. their "priority" teams are required to have hazmat endorsements and run canada. these teams aren't supposed to sit more than 6 hrs, but get treated rough about that policy alot as well. non-priority teams don't hafta have hazmat (less con-way terminal to terminal and fedex stuff) and also can opt out of canada. everything in joplin is changing since cfi is now con-way truckload.

 

The wife and I tried teaming. We could not do it because we could not get enough sleep. Washboard roads, construction, you name it and the load still has to be delivered on time.. Not easy to do, there are teams who do it successfully. As a test - Stay up 24 hours and then go out and drive your 4 wheel from midnight to daylight and see how you do. 3000 miles in 2 and half days.. alot to ask of a person.. Remember you can go to jail if you are found negligent in an accident. A word of caution - Do NOT drive on your team members time.... bad juju
