So yesterday sucked big time. My refer unit wouldn't start it shut down mid cycle said starter circuit fault. Had to go 65 miles to a shop wrong way. I had beef n chicken too. Then disconnect at shop and a air bag pop. 4 hours waitin on a new bag. Oh a relay was bad on trailer 517$ on trailer not sure how much on truck lol.
What a day yesterday.

Probably more for the bag installed, what kind of reefer unit?
-
Unit is a 2012 carrier the part was like 21 n 478 in labor somewhere near that lol. Company said why didn't I drain my bags when I dropped but I always do. When I reinflated the bags I heard it
paul_4lp Thanks this. -
That still better than a 34 in northern NJ lol
-
I've done a 34 at the TA on 78, just east of the coops. It wasn't that bad and the gate was unmanned when I left.
Thanks for answering the air-bag thing TruckerPete. Stuff happens.
Figured the unit was a Carrier, didn't figure it was that new. Another reason for staying with what I sort of know, which is Thermo-King. I don't care to park next to a Carrier, but that's just my opinion from experience. They all break down, eventually. -
Funny... I'm off of 34 in NJ right now. Sigh

Stuck in a NJ turnpike service plaza ( pretty illegally parked)
dropped & hooked but stuck here til after 3pm when my load should be ready -
And has to be better than a 34 at the dusty 730 Truckstop on the 401, Cardinal, Ontario, Canada on a weekend when they close early and lock up on Sat night at 9pm. OMG! And we were told that since we were in Canada we had to stay an extra 2 hours due to their 36 hour reset rule!

That's trucking.Somedays are good, somedays not so good.
But it still beats most other jobs.
