USX allows invertors up to 1500 watts.
How come you don't want to team with your husband ? Husband & wife teams make a lot of money & get the better runs.flyboynme and Skydivedavec Thank this. -
Have you tried May Trucking? Not sure if their requirements but I know they hire out of Florida. They have a terminal in Pensacola.
flyboynme Thanks this. -
I would love to drive! Unfortunately, it cost 6 grand to go to CDL school down here. My husband went to one in Punta Gorda, it was convenient, he was home every night and finished in one month. I'd go to the same one, but again, it's 6 grand that we just cannot spare right now. We had just enough money to get him through school and on to work.

UPDATE:
Just went to May's website. No pets. Oh well.
Thanks, we did hear of that company. He applied to May while in CDL school, they never answered his inquiry. Maybe he should try again.

Roll up to St. Petersburg, get yourself a weekly motel room and get your CDL for about $2000 at the local college. Even with your rent it will cost you less than half of that six grand you mentioned. Tell him to get his other endorsements, tanker and hazmat. If he's not into that, have him go flatbed. He can handle it. I've known women who were small and petite who handled flatbed. Plenty of companies hiring from Florida for tank and flat. Why not call Schneider if he wants to stay driving van? They hire and they're a slight notch above the entry-level bottom feeders that hire new drivers and drivers with little experience.
Did he try Pepsi? Friend of mine landed a gig with them straight out of school but like another driver offered, he will bust his tail doing this kind of work.Skydivedavec and flyboynme Thank this. -
I've been there done all the above.Welcome to Werner. Its not too early to quit. This is the reason why Werner has one of the highest turnover rates in the industry. You may need exp before driving local.

Really? That sounds good, go to St Pete and get my CDL for less. Have to look into that.
I told him just now about the flatbed driving. He has not tried Pepsi, have to look into that as well. Not sure where to apply for that. We delivered to a Pepsi DC up near Disney, it's about a 3 hour drive away from home. Cool place! They were so organized!
Thanks!
