There map is a little off by a whole lot if they named themselves for the City of Phoenix! I keep asking about one I have heard of and can't get much word on them either, if they are small you may not get much of a response? Thanks. Good Luck.

yea well im not sure the story behind why there called phoenix truck lines but i dont think they go as far as az but i could be wrong but i figure i see if anyone knows anything or worked for them before because the guy i talked to down there seemed to be upfront and honest and to the point unlike most trucking companies.

That is like Lily Trucking from Virginia, who is out of Florida.

Phoenix Truck Lines was named such as the Legendary bird. Which rises from the ashes of another. The owner worked for many years for another company and opened Phoenix Shortly after they closed their doors. The home office is located in Greenwich, NY which is North of Albany and they have a shop in Fredonia as he is planning on growing into Western, NY. I believe he lives in Western, NY. I think he actually commutes every single weekend from Fredonia to Eastern, NY to be with his children.
They do have a few very good accounts in the buffalo or Niagara Falls area.
Give them a call, I've not heard anything bad about them. Small company trying to grown and seem to have a very honest mentality.
Hope that helps. -
I talked to them this spring, dan and his secretary. They seemed OK. The bad parts I was told was the money they hold from you for some escrow. Then theres the trailer fee, $150 or $175 a WEEK, cant use your own. $600 a month is a nice trailer payment. He said 90%+ drop and hook. The loads would be already tarped, and you just have to throw the straps over and the edge protectors. The pay is low compared to what else I have found available. You need to get $2 per mile after tolls to be using you own tractor to pull for any company. They could not guarantee $2M after tolls. I live around Albany, right in the center of where they run, and they didnt think I would be able to get home more than 3 nights per week. I havent heard anything terrible about them, so thats a plus. I do have a friend that his father hauled for phoenix, and he told me it was a bunch of running around, and was hard to see $2M. The other thing I remember from the conversation I had with dan was he thought the drivers should have fueled on monday, so that there settlements would look better. I said that you have not made any money till you refill your truck, that just how I figure how much I made was after ALL expenses.
Derailed Thanks this. -
Used to see them around hauling flats, mostly out of Hunter Insulation in Kingston. I can't remember the prior company...anyone else semi local remember? They run out of the Lowes DC in Westfield MA also...there's your no tarp just strap and no bringing your own trailer covered.

Trailer rent is only $75.00 per week not $175.00 and $2.00 a mile really has not been hard to meet at all. I think the issue is when you have to be home at least 3 times per week it makes it more difficult to make the right money. I think it's give and take. If you can stay out all week and just stop by the house here and there and of course get home on the weekends you'll do well above $2.00 PER MILE

Also they get pretarped drop n hooks at lafarge Sheetrock in Buchanan. I see them around. Some guys I've seen there for a while. Several are more recent. I had called a few years back; seemed like a legit place. I feel I found a better setup with where I live, but if I was closer to them I'd look harder.
daw someone that's leased there at the truck pull Sunday @ Fonda fairgrounds. Some Decent looking equipment he had. -
Where do you live? If you are around Fonda that seems like it's right in their wheel house.
