    Great.

If I swing my trailer at some idiot fourwheeler because of roadrage, I at the very least get a severe ticket and at the very worst, go to jail.

Meanwhile, this scumbag fires a hand gun at a driver and gets away with it.
Good lord what a miscarriage of justice.

Hamilton County criminal court records indicate that Volpe was sentenced to 10 years on the attempted murder charge, three years on the aggravated assault charge, and one year on the reckless endangerment charge.

However, the sentences are suspended, giving Volpe the opportunity to avoid jail time provided he complies with the terms of his sentencing agreement. Those terms include a sentence of less than one year in a Tennessee state work house and monthly restitution of payments of $250.

since he is going back to court long before he could have completed the terms of service, I would guess he violated those terms. but the courts have posted nothing on the reason for the new court date as of yet. in my personnel opinion he was facing 14 years and if all he got was a state work house and restitution then there was a huge injustice done with all his delaying and stalling to get it in to court. I hope the driver goes after him and sues him civily and cleans him out for everything he has.

I live in the Chattanooga news area and haven't heard anything. I guess after sentencing the media gives up.

What are the odds he's going back to court on civil charges?
I'd put quite a bit of money on him paying through the nose on civil charges. So high, he wont be able to keep up with them and will, rightfully so, go to PRISON.

No it is a returning court date based off his criminal trial. if it was civil it would be a totally different court case. this defiantly is part of the criminal case.
